How to connect to „eduroam“ WiFi network (Windows 10)

EDUROAM (Windows 10)

Before creating “eduroam” profile, make sure it is not created already.

Step 1 – go to  “Start” then choose “Settings

 

Step 2 – Open “Network & Internet” section.

 

Step 3 –Choose “WIFI” and click on “Manage WiFi settings

 

Step 4 – On section called “Manage known networks” are all Wi-Fi profiles. Find “eduroam” if it is there and press forget.


Step 5 - Right Click the wireless network icon in your system tray and open network and sharing center.

 

Step 6 – Choose “Set up a new connection or network


Step 7 – Click on “Manually connect to wireless network


Step 8 – Fill these fields:
                Network name: eduroam

                Security type: WPA2- Enterprise

                Encryption type : AES

Press “Next


Step 9 – Open the connection properties so that you can change the settings.

 

Step 10 – On “eduroam Wireless Network properties” click “Setting


Step 11 – Make sure that “Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate” is unchecked and press “Configure


Step 12 – On “EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties” uncheck “Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)” and press “OK”. Now you are ready to connect.

 

Step 13 - Left Click the wireless network icon in your system tray then choose “eduroam” and press “connect

Step 14 – Enter your ISM credentials “User name” and “Password” and press “OK

In a few seconds “eduroam” is connected.
