How to connect to „eduroam“ WiFi network (Windows 8.1)

Step 1 - Right Click the wireless network icon in your system tray.

 

Step 2Choose “Set up a new connection or network” 

 

Step3Click on “Manually connect to wireless network

 

Step 4Fill these fields:


                Network name: eduroam

                Security type: WPA2- Enterprise

                Encryption type : AES

Press “Next

 

Step 5Open the connection properties so that you can change the settings.

 

Step 6On “eduroam Wireless Network properties” click “Setting

 

Step 7Make sure that “Verify the server’s identity by validating the certificate” is unchecked and press “Configure

 

Step 8On “EAP MSCHAPv2 Properties” uncheck “Automatically use my Windows logon name and password (and domain if any)” and press “OK”(confirm all changes by pressing "OK"). Now you are ready to connect.

 

Step 9 - Left Click the wireless network icon in your system tray then choose “eduroam” and press “connect

 

Step 10Enter your ISM credentials “User name” and “Password” and press “OK

In a few seconds “eduroam” is connected.
